The truth spoken by Raise Your Hand in comment #4 above and reiterated by the replies below it is factual. Unfortunately, there are some houses who base their self-worth on winning or placing in shows every year. Those houses write comments on here suggesting that their house rank is high because they do well in shows. Unfortunately they just don't understand that really no one cares. I personally like doing the shows because you do make really close friendships with the girls and the guys in the cast. Having said that, my favorite show was the one my house didn't make. The long practices interfere with academics and social life. That's the truth. Plus I don't like to watch other houses perform. I agree that you have no idea what's going on unless it's your own show.
