I totally agree about visiting the campus Go Greek day. The web page should be updated by the first of the year. Register to go as soon as it comes online and make your hotel reservation for the night before if you are out of state or far away because it begins early in the morning. Then register with your local Panhellenic council. When I rushed, I didn't have rec letters from 2 sororities and having the area rep help me with these was great. If they reps don't contact you, you can contact them. Grades are a big issue. I finished with a 3.6 out of 4.0 and was a legacy. While I ended up in my legacy house, there was a house I really, really liked and I thought they liked me and we had a connection and I always wondered did they cut me the first day because my GPA wasn't high enough or because I was a legacy somewhere else.
