GPhi wasn't for me. But then, neither was Chi O. I cut Chi O and GPhi going into pref. I just didn't see myself in either house. I pledged another top house and love where I am & love my sisters It is a personal preference so what is right for one person isn't right for another. That being said, here were my reasons for cutting G Phi--I didn't feel a sense of connection with any of the girls I talked to nor did I see a genuine sisterhood. It seemed very forced. Everything they did seemed to be for show and made me wonder what they were really like after Recruitment. Later I was told that the GPhis used to move out all their furniture and move in new expensive stuff to "stage" their house until Panhellenic stopped that. They also used to have the cars of girls (and sometimes their parents) that were the most expensive-BMW, Mercedes, etc. park around their house to make rushees think they were all rich girls. The girls I know that went to their pref night said it was the least sentimental of all the houses they visitors. Again, it all seemed forced. I also have known several girls who have either de pledged or quit because once in the house the sisterhood just isn't there. They do pledge a lot of very pretty girls though and that may be why they are so popular with frat guys. But I just wanted more out of my college experience!
