I guess if you don't know what makes a top house, you weren't meant to be in a top house. Most people do know what makes a top house -- getting the most desired girls who have resumes full of academics, honors, activities, community service, stellar recs, connections, attractiveness, talent, social ability, and personality. Top houses take the girls with the most of these attributes. Lower houses take the others. It doesn't matter if you win homecoming by cheating on your welding. You're not a top house. Sorry.
