Legacy policy varies from sorority to sorority. Some have to invite you to the first invitational round after open house, others don't. Some place a high priority on pledging legacies, others don't. typically, if a chapter does not like a legacy they will release her early, no matter what the policy is, so she can find another home. If a chapter keeps you until pref, they see you as a potential sister. Most sororities would not invite someone to pref they don't want as a sister. If you are still there, you are probably very much wanted.
