1. Race won't hurt your rushing experience. A lot of the houses have african american women and panhellenic is striving to be more diverse and inclusive. All of the houses are lovely and I haven't ever heard of their being issues in regard to race. 2. GPA is probably the thing that hurts the most girls. It might limit your opportunities a little bit but it also sounds like you are super involved so that should help. 3. Don't stress over recs. If you can get them that's great, if not it's not a huge deal. It won't hurt you at all if you don't get them. Positive recs rarely even help a PNM. Anyway's I was unsure about going greek but it's easily one of the best decisions I've ever made. I would highly recommend it, even if recruitment doesn't go the way you want it to you will meet tons of great people and could always go through COB if you still want to go greek.
