I was the one that posted I was the first in my family to go to college, and this reply is intended for the ones that responded to me. You jerks are the only reason I wouldn't like a sorority. I never said recs were dumb, or useless. All I said was that I got into a decent sorority without one. You guys need to calm down and I sincerely hope I am not in your house because I would never want to be associated with girls who have such a closed mind. Yeah, recs can be very helpful. But you want to know what is even MORE accurate nowadays? Is looking at someone's social media yourself. That won't be some washed out version of the girl.
