Just because WVU requires a 2.5 GPA to rush that doesn't mean that every house requires a 2.5. Each chapter has their own GPA requirement and most of the first round cuts are based off of GPA. I think that's what the original poster is asking about. I can't speak for every sorority, but I know that Pi Phi and DG require a 2.5 and Alpha Xi requires a 2.7. I think Chi O requires a 3.0 and Kappa has a pretty high GPA requirement as well. Idk what the others require, but they're all within the 2.5-3.0 range. I'm gonna be completely honest, I rushed with a low GPA and I was cut pretty heavily early on. You might have a better chance than I did since your GPA is in the mid-range, but still expect to see some cuts, especially from the more competitive houses. Ultimately, I ended up where I belonged, even though it wasn't my first choice. I think that you should definitely rush and keep an open mind. The above poster is right in that not every house will take juniors, but my pledge class had quite a few so just clarify that you'll be around for a while and it shouldn't be a problem. Try to avoid picking favorites this early and trust that as long as you keep an open mind and stay true to yourself, you'll find your home. Good luck, girl!
