Affiliated usually means that you're already in a sorority at your current school and want to become a member of the chapter at the school you transfer to, just to clarify. =) That being said, my pledge class had a few girls who were 21 year old juniors and in the past, we've even bid non-traditional (20-22 year old) freshmen. As long as you keep an open mind and don't act rude, you should be fine. The open mind thing is really important because to be honest, you'll probably end up in a lower tier sorority because the "top" houses prefer freshmen and sophomores. Some of the lower tier houses have great sisterhoods and they're known to take girls who are older. To maximize your chances, keep AOPi, Pi Phi, Sigma Kappa, and Chi O in mind. They take a good mix of freshmen, sophomores, and juniors. =) hope that helps!
