As an active sorority girl, I can tell you first hand that none of the sororities haze and with the moratorium, there will probably be stricter regulations on hazing in the future. Don't listen to anybody who tells you otherwise (even if they're in a frat). As for which one is best to rush for, it's best to just go through rush and see which house YOU like best and which one YOU fit in. Just forget about the rankings. Every house, whether bottom tier or top tier, does the same exact things. Every house has pretty girls and unattractive girls. Every house has nice girls and mean girls. Every house has a full social schedule and does philanthropy. Every sorority has had girls run for homecoming queen or positions in SGA. When I rushed, I had a "top" sorority and a "middle/bottom" sorority left and I chose to join the middle/bottom one because I felt more of a connection there. Do your really think that the girls in Pi Phi or AOPi have less fun than the girls in Kappa or APhi just because they're considered bottom tier? Each house appeals to different girls which is what makes them all so great. Besides, this isn't Alabama. All tiers here really mean is how competitive it is to get into the houses during rush. Kappa, APhi, and DG are generally more selective during rush because they're good at recruiting so more girls want them. Plus, tiers can change. Kappa supposedly didn't even make quota this year, but AOPi and Pi Phi did. Join the house that you like the most.
