Greek Life has been transforming for years. The loss of Phi Psi, the end of Sunnyside, and the Student Conduct office creating a new "Greek Social Policy" at the beginning of this Fall semester certainly set a precedent. Now that the University has been given fuel by the mistakes of a few Fraternities, we will see this progression shift even faster. We can see a changing from the "Old Guard" Fraternities to a "New Guard." Fraternities such as SAE, Sigma Nu, SAMMY and DTD will more the likely lead this new upcoming front. I don't think it's a negative action, but more or less necessary to keep Greek Life currently on campus and sustainable. There will still be parties and the rowdy culture of WVU will subsist. There will just be more organization and policies to jump through. The Fraternities that will be too disorganized or lazy will simply be left behind by the those that take the current conditions and mold them to their benefit.
