You have to have it to rush or else you can't sign up for fall rush. Spring rush is different, but don't expect to get a bid with a GPA lower than that. All sororities have grade requirements that range from a 2.5 to a 3.0. During formal recruitment, I got cut from most houses after round 1 because I had a low GPA, but I ended up finding my home in the end. I was really lucky. If you want to rush, spend this semester and next semester getting your GPA up. That is the first thing we look at during rush and a lot of girls get hurt because of it. Once you get a bid, you have to maintain that GPA to get initiated. Good luck to you.
