They try to do it proportionally for each round. Panhellenic council and the Greek life office AND each sorority's advisors come up with a number of PNMs that must be released from a chapters invite list each round. The numbers are usually the same or close for all the chapters. They come up with it as recruitment is going on so it is always fresh and relevant. They cannot invite more than That number. They really try to keep it proportionate each round, but like I said before the second weekend always feels the worst for PNMs no matter what. At this point you've met 11 sororities, had 8 left maybe Sunday and Friday, you will be able to only see 5 maximum. That means even if you had 6 favorites, you could not be invited to any of your original 6 favorites. You think you're being open minded and going in positive, but you're still disappointed because now the 5 (or probably less!) that you haven't been imagining yourself in all week are All you have left. This is exactly what happened to me! Had 5 for skit round (I said somewhere else tht I had 4 but i forgot about one :) see how little the number of sororities that invites you back matters in the long run? Lol) but I was so open minded, 3 of those 5 were the ones I was daydreaming of being a part of! Those are good odds right? Then I got my list and I had the 2 I was not fantasizing about being a part of. Ouch! But it didn't matter, because I bucked up, and went into philanthropy round and fell in love with my chapter.
