@greek, i think you are right that the number of girls bidless was 11, but that is minus girls who suicided, dropped out on their own, etc... There were plenty of girls left come pref round. They just didn't like their options. I think quota was 70ish? So if everyone took quota that'd be 770 girls AT LEAST getting bids, not counting the quota additions, which are done to ensure nobody ends up bidless. I am glad someone took the time to lay out the numbers game associated with recruitment. When PNMs drop out and say that they just didn't get a bid on bid day they are taking the blame off of them and try blaming the sorority that they wanted oh so badly as the reason they were bidless. People LOVE to say recruitment is terrible and sororities are mean to be rejecting girls like this. But guess what, very few girls end up actually being 100% rejected! Were they not invited to become a member of the chapter they really really wanted? Sure but chances are another chapter saw potential in them and wanted to extend them a bid!
