With a 2.9 you wont be cut anywhere, it may be a factor if the last round sororities literally love you and another girl equally and are determining their lists... but at that point it's totally nothing to stress about. I promise the gpa is one factor that's an easy way to cut girls initially since there are sooo many people rushing, I would guess a 2.7 or higher is a pretty safe gpa for all/most sororities.
