I’ve seen it both ways. I’ve seen girls go back to different chapters I’ve seen some get the same. I think some people are just trying to dispel the idea that hey I can try again later and get what I want next time. There are some bratty PNMs out there sorry some of us get jaded sometimes. Sometimes rushing as a sophomore is a good idea. You’re a little older, little more sure of yourself, and if your grades are up it’s great too. Also you’re in good shape because you dropped out before bid day, you have the option to participate in informal recruitment whenever that happens. You can do that this semester if some of the chapters hosting events interest you, or see what happens in fall who else may be doing it. Informal is chill and a great way to get to know a lot of members in a much more casual setting instead of intense formal recruitment. So in case that interests you, contact panhel so you can be notified of any public informal rush events and stay in contact with your roommate going forward in case she can invite you to an invite only informal event if her chapter decides to go that route.
