Not in any serious way, no, if you're a freshman and you know upperclassmen in sororities fairly well then maybe then you could've been brought up but they're not like "scouting" for girls they want, although if you've already made a bad reputation for yourself on campus that does get around to the sororities lol But the answer to your question is pretty much no, it's definitely different for penn state considering they usually have rush in the fall so they may have been looking at potential PNMs the semester since they're used to having recruitment in the fall, plus their recruitment is definitely more competitive than here
