Dirty Rushing = When a sorority is promising you they'll give you bid in recruitment or trying to hang out with PNMs outside of recruitment events in hopes that it will make them rank them higher. Nobody can really guarantee you'll get a bid to any one certain sorority and it is really frowned upon since it is usually done in return for something like making sure to always rank them number one or something like that. Open Bidding = Informal recruitment which is hosted by sororities who have more spots in their chapter after formal recruitment is over. Very few chapters do this. It is usually just DG. It's more chill that regular recruitment with events like movie night at the sorority house or getting coffee on main street instead of insane clapping and jumping and talking for 40 minutes. Usually will start the next month after recruitment and can sometimes also happen in the fall too. Look out for chapters social media for advertising their events and see if there is an email list Panhel can put you on that with info on recruitment.
