The bottom NPC chapters at VU, whose names all begin with 'ALPHA', apparently don't stand a chance of life next to their "non-Alpha beginning" sisters. This curse upon lowly NPC chapters beginning with 'ALPHA' started with a strong strain of the bacteria antialphadenium at LSU during the late 1960's and continued until all 'ALPHA' LSU chapters were obliterated by 1988. No LSU 'ALPHA' chapter survived; seven were brought down. Only during the new millennium has the deadly antialphadenium bacterium among LSU's sorority chapters left their campus and two brave 'ALPHA' NPC chapters have been re-colonized: Alpha Phi and Alpha Delta Pi. The antialphadenium disease has firmly relocated from LSU in Baton Rouge to VU in Nashville, infecting the reputation and ranking of our 'ALPHA chapters but not yet to the point of their closures. Expect immunizations to defeat the antialphadenium horror for all VU NPC chapter members over summer break, which will bring protection against 'ALPHA chapter closures at VU.
