Honestly, everything is going to change in the midst of recruitment. I went in wanting AXO or DG because of the select few girls I knew in those sororities prior to recruitment. Almost immediately I changed my mind about DG because I saw how "cookie cutter" the sorority was - it seemed like they only recruited and took one type of girl and I was worried that I wasn't that girl/wouldn't want to maintain that image throughout the next three years. Of course I know several girls that aren't the DG norm but I'm still very happy I didn't end up there. AXO was super energetic and enthusiastic throughout all of recruitment which is a hard thing to do. I didn't realize till after recruitment once the pledge classes were finalized how glad I was that I was not in AXO. It's important to take into account not only the people that you're talking to in a sorority but also the fellow PNMs standing next to you as they could be your future sisters. Furthermore, AXO came extremely close to getting kicked off entirely this year and because of this, they are being watched very carefully. As you drop and get dropped from sororities, what you want is going to change. Don't forget what you personally are looking for in a sorority and try keep an open mind about everything!
