winter rush

Winter rush starts the first or second week of winter quarter. Sororities usually don't rush in the winter but frats get most of there guys then because freshman are permitted to rush, so they tend to get much bigger pledge classes than the other two quarters. If you're a solid guy it doesn't really matter when you rush, but most of the bids given out winter quarter are to freshman. Hope this helps you out.

Only a couple sororities will do winter COB. Usually they will post on their page. All fraternities will do recruitment during winter. First years will have the chance to go through recruitment.

Winter rush has become the biggest rush at UCR for fraternities( its when freshman can rush)with the new changes, stay posted for updates from IFC, but info events are usually week 2 or 3, with rush week following right after
