what sorority is coming to msu?

I know Alpha Omicron Pi and Alpha Chi Omega came to tour houses... So is either coming? I know Alpha Chi was once a chapter at MSU, but I'm not sure about AOII. Thanks!!

ΑΟΠ has never had a chapter at State. The only Mississippi chapter is at Ole Miss.

ΑΟΠ tried to colonize back in 2003 -- actually got picked by Panhellenic and came to campus to get started -- but they cancelled because only around 40 women showed up for interviews. This was right after Alpha Gam closed and before RFM and the high recruitment numbers of today.

My freshman year I heard thaT KKG coming here but have not heard anything about it lately. I don't know if that is still a possibility or not.but it is a strong national sorority and would be a great addition to our campus.

Kappa Kappa Gamma was supposed to colonize, but they changed their mind. No other sorority is going to colonize until ADPi gets their act together.

Besides ADPi which is back, AXO, AGD, and KKG have also had chapters here but closed. AGD I believe can't come back and KKG backed out. I would prefer AOii personally just because they are a standard middle tier at Ole Miss and it's hard to get chapters to really thrive in MS if they are the only chapter. (Zeta here and Theta at OM). We can't have multiple struggling houses. Our system needs to stay strong.

KKG is way stronger at ole miss than AOII and is also a lot stronger nationally. I think KKG would have a lot more girls interested

Yes, Everyone had rather have a KkG chapter here but it's not happening. They were scheduled to recolonize here this year (or next) but they backed out.

That's why I included the "they backed out part." AXO is a brand new chapter only at USM right now where AOii is solid middle at Ole Miss. Would I rather KKG? Yes. But it's not an option right now.

I personally hope that KKG will change their minds and decide to come to MSU. My second and third choices would be AXO and then AOPi. With Ole Miss having such a good Kappa chapter, I think it would be a fun choice!

I can't really imagine so. Until adpi is thriving on campus we can't expand and they are far from it! It would be cool to have a new house but they would probably fail
