by: .Do the sororties prefer PNMs to get a rec from someone at a big SEC type school? Or is getting a rec from someone who went to a smaller school just as good?

Rush has changed in the past year due to the number of girls going through it. Used to be that if you went through you got a bid, now if you aren't a legacy or know a ton of girls in the house you're less likely to get a bid. That being said, letters of recommendation help you out a great deal especially if an alumnae from that chapter wrote it. Get the letter because it'll help a lot.

How many should we get for each house? I know the general rule is to get 2 but is it better if you get more than that?

Two and you should be fine. More doesn't hurt but don't over do it! Max id say 5 or 6. A girl sent in 20 to DG and girls thought she just looked desperate and I know KD cut a legacy who had 26.... Def don't over do it
