by: hiYou can say whatever you want about KD having a wild pledge class but it's not going to hurt their overall reputation. They're still going to have an amazing rush next year because they know how to recruit. There's a reason they've been on top with Chi O for so long. KD and Chi O will always be the top two houses no matter how much the try hards in DG or the cheerleaders in Phi Mu think they can get ahead. Reputation and legacy are important and there are so many girls that have wanted to wear the KD letters since they were little girls.

You're right. I was one of those girls . I thought my whole Sr. Year I wanted to be a kd at state. Then I started visiting and staying with a few. Changed my mind VERY quickly! I am in a top 4 house and wasn't cut by anyone. I did cut kd though...... Too much partying! When girls brag about being Kampus Drunks that's horrible. So yes girls THINK they want that until they're there. They migh remain a top 4 but they are NOT a top 2 anymore! Reputation does carry you until it turns to a bad one.

Phi Mu is NOT above KD! It is chi-O/KD/DG top tier in no certain order with Phi Mu a distant fourth!

quintessential Phi Mu sinking their claws into whichever top 3 house is weakest any given year. Every. Single. Year. they try to tear down the weakest to make themselves look like top 3. When on paper all 3 still remain stronger than Phi Mu and have FAR more tradition, top tier legacies, and name during recruitment.

Sorry but you have no idea if a phi mu has posted in this thread or not it's an annoymous website for god sakes! That person does sound like phi mu thought because phi mu always tries sneaking themselves in the top 3, you can't say Forsure it was a phi mu but you can't say it forsure wasn't

I was the first responder to this thread and you can rest assured I am not a phi mu, although I have good friends that are. This is about kd and their reputation slipping very quickly. My response was to the op thinking many girls WANT kd. Not true after visiting and staying with them! They brag about their amount of drinking and sorry kd but you are not as involved this year as the other top 4.......and that can be proven. Not just my opinion .

I was obsessed with kd in highschool. They had a good rush until I went to theme. The girls I talked to weren't talking like they were rushing me bc they were some of my good friends from growing up I talked to and it was like a friendship reunion because they assumed I'd go kd and didn't put too much effort in. The girl even said "I'm so glad you're going to go kd" like no. I cut them after theme. I'm in a top 3 (top three being kd chi o and dg) but yeah. They won't go down because they have such strong history right now. Give them 5-10 years they'll be middle tier.

Once they visit during Sr year they still talk about those four. We have girls IN all 4 by choice! Not one was cut during rush and all are happy!!! Btw they're still friends with each other.

Yes, I am the original poster and I am a KD. I apologize for sounding condescending to the lower tier sororities like Phi Mu, Zeta, Tri Delt, Pi Phi, and ADPi. Sorry! I didn't mean to insult y'all. I was just saying that I have always wanted to be a KD and rumors about them did not influence me to go with another house.
