When/what new house is going to come to MSU?

I heard that KKG or AOII were coming is that true. ADPi has thier house and gone through rush so when will a new house start colonizing?

There really isn't a need for another chapter at MSU currently... Within the last six years we've added two new chapters. I think the important thing is to try and build up the groups we have first before adding more.

I don't know what Panhellenic is doing, but with everyone getting 99+ girls this year then we really need another chapter. I know KKG was supposed to come and didn't... But I feel like they should be the best bet for extension. They are doing well at Ole Miss so their perception amongst peers is good.

Do y'all think we even need a new house? I mean ole miss pledge classes are at 160, do you think MSU houses should be that big or keep pledge classes smaller? Just curious.

Ole Miss is struggling with their pledges classes being so big. It's hard to have great sisterhood when your chapter is 400+ members. I think pledges classes should be around 70, like it used to be. Yes, we need another chapter.

Actually, I'm not a mom. But I am a member and it's easy to know what size chapters were. Didn't you know people that rushed when you were in high school or maybe you have an older sister/cousin that was around prior to now.

Y'all, if I hear the word "troll" one more time then my hair is going to look like a freaking troll!!

I think it awesome to see those huge chapter pictures on bid day but at the same time I agree it affects the sisterhood. I had such a hard time during rush because I just felt like I had so many options! But I think a new house would be great. Maybe AXO I would say alpha phi but I hear they are having problems at ole miss.

KKG was supposed to come but withdrew from coming since low alumni support in the area. They were supposed to have open recruitment several years ago but kept putting it off to allow ADPI to get established. Since they declined coming now, it will be another 2 years before another chapter can colonize here since they need to see what groups are interested and start planning but most likely will be a chapter that was here for a time like AXO.

My aunt pledged AXO here in the 80s when they tried to colonize. They folded. MSU doesn't do a great job of supporting new chapters.

I would love to have KKG on campus! They were supposed to come but I have heard that they changed their mind. Don't know why. I think that it would be a great fit!

KKG didn't have enough alumn support to come on campus. Panhellenic is deciding whether they want to bring another chapter on but probably shouldn't. ADPi still isn't even getting quota, everyone should at least be at total first I think.

I think before we add another chapter everyone should be able to cut girls they don't want. It sucks for certain chapters to have to take some not as good girls when they shouldn't
