bottom houses
by: DawgJust a question to the girls in the bottom houses but do you guys even try at all? People say it's other girls bringing yalls houses down but it's not. None of the bottom houses had anyone even try and run for senator, and ADPI girls legit made it obvious they didn't care about watermelon fest (walking during the games ???? How unspirited can you get??) if they don't want to be bottom anymore then actually try and win something and actually try and be involved. They half ass pretty much everything! If a bottom house wanted to win watermelon fest they could've super easily. But it's like they don't even want to put in the effort. They don't take any of the competitions seriously and they could care less about involvement. Even during recruitment they half ass it! Don't blame people putting you down for the reason you guys are bottom, blame yourselfs.

Being in a sorority isn't about winning competitions. It's about sisterhood. Who cares if we're bottom. I love my sisters and that's what matters. You may see us as "bottom" because we don't win things often. But I wouldn't trade my sisters for the world. I have found a sisterhood that I love and cherish. That's what matters to me. That should be what's most important. Sisterhood.

What was the point of your post? What good is your post going to do? Because I see it as: people who determine what the "bottom" houses are are the same people who say "these rankings are how it has been and how they will stay." If that's the truth, do you girls in typically lower ranked houses feel like they ANY chance of being treated any differently when it comes to competitions? Or maybe they will focus on other aspects, such as sisterhood and philanthropic efforts. Because they might not have won, but every house was part of Lambda Chi's record breaking year in can donations. So stop being part of the problem (tearing down houses you deem are bottom) and be a part of the solution.

What is the point of this. Who says you are qualified to decide which houses are at the bottom (which I believe none of them are) and that they don't try?? Every house has their own sisterhood and ritual and philatrophy. And if it isnt your house why do you even care so much?
Grow up and and spend your time doing something worth while. Not bashing people on this site.

While your response above was meant to be complimentary, it is not factual. Phi Mu has a long, very successful history at State. They have been in the top 3 for years. Phi MU has had HC maids and senators on board almost every year for the past 30 years. If you don't believe me, go to the Greek office and ask for the data. I think you are sweet and well meaning to discuss phi mu the way you did to show what involvement can bring a group, but I think the truth has to be known. Phi mu has a wonderful history of involvement and that's a fact that can be backed up.
#9by: Um
Can you seriously name one student organization that a "top" house is apart of that pi phi is not because I can't think of one???
This topic is pointless. Yall make it seem like every girl in these houses you are mentioning had absolutely no other choice but to join them. Many of the girls picked the houses they are in today. So why do you care if it's not your house?

Pi Phi, Zeta, Adpi and Tri Delt all have members in organizations on campus and are involved. They just don't always post it everywhere on greekrank and social media. Contrary to popular belief, girls want to be in these sororities and for a variety of reasons ( legacy status, home town friends and connections, national reputation , liked the girls in the chapter etc ) Get over yourselves with this everyone wants to be in the so called top houses. Just not true!

This was very well said! A close sisterhood is so much more special than winning a contest anyway!
