recruitment

Is it bad to go through recruitment twice? I withdrew from rush the first time because I was left with only one house and I just felt like I couldn't connect with any of the girls. However, I still really want to be greek and was wondering if maybe I would have better luck if I rushed again or if my chances would be worse since I've already been through rush?

what makes you think you will be successful the second time around? if they didn't want you the first time, i doubt they will want you when you're a year older. some houses, including my own, have a 'cut once cut forever' policy. if you really want to be greek, look at the house you "didn't feel a connection with" (aka you thought you were too good for them) and see if they're doing cob. they might take you back.

i'm sorry if this sounds harsh but is is the truth.

Don't listen to the negative.

There are girls each year who do this...
but the keys are good grades, become involved on campus, and make friends with current sorority freshmen on your hall.

Good luck!

plus be mindful of your reputation if you are going through again. Yes, go to parties and have fun but be smart.

@no you're just one big ray of sunshine, aren't you? Even if you think the OP would be wasting her time going through a second time you could have been nicer. @PNM do what's right for you, but maybe you should reconsider the house that you didn't think was for you. I gave mine a try even though I wasn't sure and it's been the best thing ever!!! Can't imagine being anywhere else!
