Top
Dg/KD/chi o/ phimu

Middle
Tri delt/ Pi phi/ zeta

Bottom
Adpi

I feel like the top and middle tiers are all super similar to eachother ranking wise and are all interchangeable im its respective tier. Pi phi got its act together and I think it's a solid middle tier house along with zeta and tri delt.
The top 4 is always debated but it really is just up to preference. As for the bottom, Adpi did really good this year and are improving but they are the newest and were really under quota and still have a lot of work to do. Not a bad house but someone has to be at the bottom and they arnt quite up to par with the rest of the houses at Msu. They are constantly improving though and overall a wonderful sorority !

All houses did great! A ton of great cool girls are apart of Msu campus now! Every house got a great PC!

Out of the top 4 somehow Chi O got the worst pledge class. Huh.

There you have it folks! Our top story is our weekly update of the sorority house rankings! And for the 785 week in a row chi o, Kd, DG, and Phi Mu have unanimously been chosen as the top houses at MSU by the members of chi o, Kd, dg, and phi mu. And in other news: members of the remaining four sororities are quietly going about their lives minding their own business and treating other people with respect.

Im in a middle tier house and I get on here too. It is what it is, I rather be middle tier anyways because I can promise my sisterhood is better than any too house. But There isn't anything wrong with a tier system. That's how life works you can either except it or not but regardless it's still going to he there anyways

You need to do some spell check before you start bashing other sororities sisterhood. You had lots of grammar mistakes-- and there is a difference in accept and except.

There may be unspoken tier systems in some situations in life but the problem here is they want to throw it in everyone's faces constantly. And I'm glad you're happy where you are. That's my point, let everyone be happy where they are without trying to rank people. It's just an excuse to put others down.

The top houses go in this site constantly talking about how great they are. They obviously need self assurance. And dragging down other house makes them feel better somehow.

But you know what they say misery loves company.

I find that the middle tier houses are the ones that are happier in Greek life and actually love their sisterhood for what it is. Not the letters in the door.

While I agree that a lot of girls in the traditional top sororities here post/talk a lot about how they are the best and try really hard to keep their spot, it's really unfair to generalize the sisterhood of a chapter you aren't a part of. There are extremely happy and miserable girls in every single sorority. You get out what you put into it. Just because a girl is in a top absolutely does not mean that she doesn't have true sisterhood and love her sorority for reasons other than "being the best." There are probably girls like you described in the top houses, but it's so inaccurate to say all of the top tier is like that and all of the girls in middle tier are happier and closer.

The irony of the OP is that I think she was trying compliment ADPi. I'm not sure she knows how insulting she is

It's hard to give constructive criticism because if you are rude then people will jump on you. So you have to turn comments into seeming positive so people don't get mad.

So if it's true and everyone knows it, then why is it necessary to keep posting it over and over. Why remind the middle/lower houses they aren't as good? Who does that serve and benefit? If everyone knows it, then no need to have to say anything. Why make others feel less worthy? And btw no one asks for constructive criticism

There is only one house needing affirmation of their spot. If you look back at other posts it's easy to tell who it is. I'm in a "top" house and I could care less. I'm where I am because it felt like home and I love it.

@sad I love my house. We have a strong sisterhood and enjoy doing things together. We are all extremely happy.

Just saying, me n my posse had the conversation last night over beers, which sorority has the hottest, friendliest ,want to hang out with girls. The overwhelming opinion was Zeta and Pi Phi. Hey no disrespect, not running down any house, but as for us we've just been impressed by these girls.

It also depends what frat you are. Most top frats prefer to mix and be paired with top houses. Lower frats usually wind up with the weaker houses anyways so that's who they tend to favor. However ur likely not even a frat boy cause most frat guys arnt checking out this website.

the larger number of OOS girls rushing now is only helping the entire system. Use to the "top" houses would get a handful of OOS girls while most ended up in other houses, which somehow was a bad thing even if the OOS girl was amazing. Now there are so many OOS girls that are so strong (partly because MSU offers waived fees if GPA and test scores are strong, so a lot of these girls have the grades) that they are ending up in every single house and bringing in a fresh perspective and lots of leadership. I remember being told the "top" houses were all MS and Memphis girls and MAYBE 5-6 OSS girls when I rushed, but from looking at the bid lists now some "top" houses had up to 15 OOS girls (not including Memphis, doesn't count). I love that those houses are catching on to what all the other sororities have known for awhile, OOS girls only make a chapter better!

How many OOS girls did every sorority pledge?

According to the bid list and chats I've had with regional advisors, Delta Gamma pledged 30 girls from out of state including Alabama, Tennessee, Louisiana, Texas, Georgia, Florida, Missouri, Arkansas, and North Carolina. There were also 4 girls from the Memphis are, so 34 total not from Mississippi out of 99. 100 new members counting one girl's beautiful guide dog! I'm a proud alum! I hope all the other sororities were able to pledge as many great out of state girls and would also love to know the numbers if anyone knows them.

pledge classes, it's:
KD/DG
Chi O
Phi Mu/DDD
Pi Phi
Zeta
ADPi

KD and DG got the best PC's of the top 4. Chi O's was bad for them, but they're still one of the best. Phi Mu was gorgeous, but lacked leadership and grade. While DDD got probably their best PC yet. Pi Phi out rushed Zeta. ADPi isn't in the running to jump anyone yet.

by: Yes but

I agree with everything except for phi mu. Phi mu got a bunch of really pretty girls and Pom girls and involved girls with really bubbly personalities. They beat Tri delt by a land slide in my opinion.' Tri delts pledge class was average at best, their pledge class last year was a 100 times better. They still have a ways to go if they are gonna be tied with phi mu.... Unless pi phi beats them to it !

I have nothing against DDD. I think they are a great chapter and never cause much drama. However, I think they took far too many grade risks to say they have a better pledge class than most.

First of all looks are not everything but if were gonna measure houses on looks phi mu is known as an attractive house and is know for consistently getting pretty girls. Second I don't know what looks have to do with being on the Pom squad? These girls worked their butt off in highschool with dance while still maintaing tip top grades and now are performing in front of thousands of people for an D1 school, but sense apparently they don't fit your body size standards their acomplishments are invalid and we should be ashamed of them? You are one of the most shallow people i have seen on this website and just sound like a mean, bitter, sad human being . People like you really don't desereve to be apart of this greek system.

Unfortunately Looks and size matter greatly on Pom. My sister was on it and people were benched for being overweight because they are in front of 60,000 people. I know exactly how much time is involved. The person above speaks the truth, not about life in general but Spirit Groups, yes. It's the one place were looks and size do matter.

Okay looking stuck up girls with meh personalities are not substance. Phi mu and chiO lack because phi mu focuses too much in looks and chi o focuses too much on grades. The tip top houses have well rounded girl which are a little bit of both.

This is how it looks after rush.
DG/Phi Mu: Both got the best pledge classes I guess. Someone posted before that the best girls are spread out over the "traditional top houses" these days, and I agree. But I think DG and Phi Mu have a leg up this year. My rush crush cut us and went DG and I'm still not over it.
KD/Chi O: Not bad PC's, but little things holding them back. KD shouldn't have 13 girls from one place, and Chi O got great resumes but not their usual pretty and outgoing girl.
Pi Phi: I'll be honest, I am a Pi Phi, I think our PC can compete with the "top houses," but I know we're new and I wouldn't say we've jumped houses that have been dominating for years. I think this class will help us though. We didn't take grade risks and have lots of performers!
DDD: Really impressed! I have nothing negative to say about DDD ever, but of course I think my sorority out rushed them. Can't wait to see their new house!
Zeta: We're ranked with Zeta a lot, but I think we are more well rounded. Zeta is a great house don't get me wrong, but I never see them out and they don't have much presence on campus.
ADPi: Smart move to not take extra girls, but they still have a retention problem. Pi Phi is getting over retention issues, so I know the struggle! Showing up to events and getting some involved girls to lite a fire under everyone is key!

Phi Mu had a phenomenal pledge class! Everyone says so! Thanks to whomever complimented us! I feel that this year's Recruitment Group as a whole was the most competitive I have seen in my 3 years here. It was hard to narrow down a bid list! Best of luck to every sorority here at State and have a great year!
