I'm somewhat reluctant to respond to your question because I have doubts that you're really a PNM. Often people are just trying to stir up trouble on this site. But, I've decided to take this opportunity to provide some information to any PNM's that may visit this site. EVERY sorority has girls of EVERY type. EVERY sorority values academics and will assist you in attaining your academic goals. ZTA is no different than any other sorority. They have girls that work hard in their classes, girls that organize Bible studies, girls that are leaders on campus, and girls that party a little too hard. The things you "hear" very often have no basis in reality. The most dangerous thing you can do at recruitment is listen to tent talk. There are comments made by girls that have ABSOLUTELY no idea what they are talking about. And keep in mind that most people speaking poorly of another chapter (both inside and outside of recruitment) have an agenda. They are positioning either themselves or their chapter. Do you want want those girls as your sisters? Tune out the talk and listen to your heart. Keep an open mind about all chapters. Do that and you can come out of recruitment in a chapter that's just right for YOU. Good luck!

is a wonderful sorority that has a very diverse mix of girls. Several years ago they had more of a party rep, but they started recruiting more well rounded girls since then and have really come a long way. Adding other sororities also really helped their overall rep, and in my opinion Zeta is the "most improved" house on campus. If you like them and are comfortable there...GO FOR IT! If you are happier somewhere else, then go there, and know your friend will still love and support you!
