I'm not the original poster called "reply to word" but I also agree with her statements. I think the mom could have warned everyone to not speak badly and give a warning without mentioning which group she had heard this about, simply to remain unbias. I think everyone, sorority girls, PNMS, and mothers alike, should follow the rule of ot talking baly about anyone! So from that point, her comments seem a little hypocritical even if said with good intention.

She would not have to watch it closely. It could have happened as she was looking at the site, it would update as she clicked from group to group. The posts could have been posted while she was looking at the site. No need to be rude to her when her comment is obviously correct. Yes, many DGs and Chi Os are very close, but unfortunately untruths are spread around recruitment time. Each group should build itself up not tear others down with rude comments.

What makes sororities look bitter and petty is finding fault with the good that other groups are doing. Everyone has a great charitable cause. Can't you all just appreciate that equally among every chapter and support one another in doing good? Can't you call just get along.

The girl who keeps ranking back all 5s and defending everything about TOMS is not a DG because the i info and is giving is not correct. Either a rushee or at another chapter, either way, please stop defending us with false info. This is what has happened: everything was total surprise to the chapter. We were told to wear our philanthropy shirts so nationals could see us run a party. During the mock party, the doors were opened showing it was represenatives from TOMS that were filming and taking pictures to help launch the new product. Blake did not make sunglasses because of visitingour chapter, but did decide to use us for the pictures due to our history. Also, people do not receive sunglasses when you buy a pair, they get medical care or glasses or surgery to correct eye problems. And they were not given to us free, that defeats the purpose of helping others.

Advisors purchased 175 pairs for active members with money our chapter raised with anchor week and milk and cookies. It was the first bulk order. Because of the purchase, 175 people will have their sight saved or returned, something that made more than one of us cry. As far the partnership, it is not yet completed but still being developed, which is why neither DG or TOMS has announced it. It should be finialized within a year. Our chapter is the flagship chapter for combining Service for Sight and TOMS. The whole thing was a huge secret to all of us but such a great victory for the people that will be helped by all DGs and TOMS together. Every person touched by any groups philanthrophy is a victory and I hope everyone can celebrate the good instead of finding fault in an amazing new partnership.
