Apparently it is easier to point fingers and whine than it is to be honest enough with yourself to know that your chapter is not living up to its potential - and then affect change within your group. If other chapters would spend 1/2 as much time creatively campaigning as they do scheming against DG and posting mean comments here, maybe they'd win some elections too? I'm just sayin

with elections (homecoming not SA) is that DG openly chooses to go against all other sororities when an agreement is made. The other groups chose to promote Greek life as a whole not their individual sorority as DG does. Only a few years ago the sororities at MSU all worked together for the benefit of all groups, unfortunately DG is ge one who took the path of promoting themselves instead of Greeks as a whole. This has cost th the respect of the Greek community.

DG has further lost respect by pushing election rules to the furthest extent possible: having the football team over to eat on election day, giving random people rides to class, accidentally dropping a campaign sticker on the sidewalk and stepping on it so it is for days. These are the reasons DG is not respected on campus. I admire the other sororities for not stooping to such low measures to win homecoming elections.

with that whine??

If you're on a high horse that your sorority is perfect, then good for you! If you're whining about how DG always wins and you don't then either do something to help your chapter win or quit whining. You sound like a preschooler. Grow up.

It's a fact, DG is the most disliked sorority on campus. Not jealousy on my part. DG rushed me very hard but turned me off completely. U ranked them 3rd after Theme parties (and yes they wanted me back). I had much rather be in a respected group where I can feel good about myself at the end of the day. I am sure someone will post a nice comeback to my comment.

With the like/love system now during rush, if you ranked DG 3rd going into pref then you really don't know whether they wanted you back or not unless one of the groups you ranked as #1/2 chose not to have you back and DG showed back up on your party list. So, unless that happened, please don't assume you know that you'd have had a chance to go back to this group. Rush stuff is funny sometimes - just because you think they like your or someone in that sorority has told you that 'everyone loves you' doesn't mean it's true. I know from my own rush experience at MSU. I was invited to go stay at the Chi O house during my senior year and loved all over me. Then they dropped me for pref. I never saw it coming and wound up in another house (that really wound up being a much better fit for me). So, please don't just assume that you know a particular group 'wanted' you because you might be surprised - just like I was.

She may know for a fact that DG wanted her. Sometimes hometown girls share a lot of information with girls after recruitment. Also some girls go through recruitment without being released by a single sorority. If she is one of those girls with outstanding grades and activities then there is a very good chance that she knows what she is talking about.

the fact is that nobody but a chapter's rush team know if they cut a girl or not, because sometimes the girls themselves don't even know. if a girl 'cuts' a chapter, but that chapter has also 'cut' that same girl in the same round, then each party thinks they're the ones who 'cut' the other. obviously neither wanted the other, so it worked out fine. i'm just saying, the chapter-at-large might think they know but all they've got is an educated guess, because voting is private and only the rush team knows for real.
