Oh, so you would know this because you were a DG in addition to what chapter you are in now? Ha. Love how how everyone thinks DG is "told" who to recruit. Let me ask you something. Why do you think there are "hometown" meetings by different chapters all summer? It's to "release" or "not release" pnms after reviewing their resumes and discussing their backgrounds. All the well established sororities I know and that YOU know have been doing this for years and years. I mean just get real please.

All sororities are different in their recruiting methods and different in each hometown. One of my close chi o friends was told to write a rec for a girl at ole miss going thru last year by advisors in the chapter. Where I live there are kd, chi o, tri delt and dg meetings. We say who we will rec and not and then the girls take it from there. As for the dgs at ole miss...I guess it works for their chapter however they do it. From what I hear they have one of the best chapters there. Oh also, there are phi mu meeting too. Been done this way for years and years.
#147by: I think
every sorority can only rush girls that were pre-approved by advisors or alum. Then from there they get a say. That's what I've gathered from friends at least. I have no idea how DG at MSU does things, but the speculation is a little strange. It works for them so why bother? I wouldn't want people trying to figure out my sororities ways.

It is VERY obvious that you are wanting to say anything to put dg in a negative light. Number one: I think this is a MSU site, so if you have a problem with the Ole Miss chapter then please post on their site and not this one. Number two: the dg chapter is by far one of THE BEST chapters there, winning the Chancellors Cup the past year for "Best Chapter on Campus" so whatever their methods are I would say they are working quite well. Say whatever you want, but the TOP chapters get direction and advise from advisors...maybe some more than others but WHO REALLY CARES? I mean really, let it go...ha
