I was just as good as promised a Chi O bid when I went through - and they knew my roomie was one of their legacies, so they kept me around because they didn't want to make her mad. Telling me all week how they were excited about "us" (my & my Chi O legacy roomie) coming through and so glad we had stayed in the house when we were seniors, etc. I liked them all week, but was torn because I liked another house too. Well, when pref rolled around, my decision was made much easier when I learned that Chi O had been faking it to me all week. I chose the other house that I'd liked since day #1 and am SO glad things worked out like they did. I would've been really torn signing my bid card if Chi O had kept me around. Then releasing me was the best thing that happened, because I knew without a doubt where I was meant to be. But, it did make my legacy roomie FURIOUS at how they'd lied to both of us all week! CHI O IS SUCH THE DIRTY RUSHERS!!!

Take your hate somewhere else. Your anger hurts the entire Greek system. Do you think that people reading this don't realize that recruitment is just around the corner and that false statements will be made about the top houses in an attempt to "hurt" them with PNMs? When you continue to post negative comments about a group it only reinforces the fact that they are a top house. DG, Chi O and KD are tops at State.

Members, during recruitment, you are the spokesperson for your sorority to your assigned PNM. Please realize that your false flattery is insidious and you call it hospitality to ease your own guilt. You are smart girls. It is possible to speak the truth without being misleading. Don't act shocked that PNM's regarded your "We want you here" as "We" meaning your sorority and "here" meaning in our house as a member, since the point of coming into your house that evening is to become a member. Think back to when you were a PNM and if you were still that naive girl, how you would interpret these types of statements.

"We want you here" is as good as a bid promise. The girls below were saying that saying "I've heard so much about you" or "I'm glad you are here" are often mistaken as being told you are not getting cut, which is not true. There is no guilt about it, so step off the high horse. There would however be guilt if a girl walks in you know will be gone and you ignore her or don't even try to have a conversation because it isn't worth your time. Members spend 2 weeks thinking before they speak. The PNM's need to think before they jump to conclusions.

will return very few seniors. They only had 34 Juniors last year and will more than likely lose a few more. DG, Chi O and KD will as usual return large numbers of seniors usually 50-60. DG and Chi O lose the smallest number of members over four years, followed closely by KD. Phi Mu, Tri Delt, Zera and Pi Phi lose a large number of member each year.

Based on last years numbers Chi O will return 50 seniors and DG 52. That is only girls from PC 09, not counting upperclassmen that pledged another year that are now seniors. Both great numbers since that class was originally 62/63 members. KD has around 44 I believe. Chi O and DG should have about 165-180 members. KD being third in size with about 150. Granted, this years pledge classes will probably be about 85-90 girls, so that will increase everyones size.

Thanks for that info! Really interesting. If Chi O continues not to pledge upperclassmen, you'll see an increase in senior class sizes for DG & KD, but not Chi O. This will be the third year MSU has done upperclassman quota. So, you'll really start to see a difference in senior class sizes this year and next if Chi O continues the trend they've set. They'll still be in the top 1/2 of sororities at State for largest senior classes...but it's going to start to show this year because it is year #3.
