sorority comments

rumor going around and I would like to know if there is any truth to it. A lot of girls have been talking about the "Neighbor Dinner" that XO and KD had with each other. I have heard multiple people say that they formed an alliance: that KD would help XO win the Local Culture Philanthropy Challenge and in return XO would make sure KD won Limelight. If this is not true, sorry to bring it up but you should know people are saying it. If it is, I am so disappointed in the two groups. First, it totally excludes other sororities. XO is neighbors with Zeta and KD with DG, yet I don't see them having dinner with them. It also does not give a fair chance to any other groups participating who work very hard. Don't XO and KD win enough things anyway? I am in what a lot people say is "lower" or "middle/average" house here, but we work SO hard to try and compete in everything and win to break the limits that people have put on us.

To think that groups are ensuring wins to keep others from doing well really makes me wonder what the Panhellenic community is coming to. ANY houses hard work should be rewarded in the results of competitions, regardless of "standing" on campus. I know any XO or KD will deny this, and I hope they are telling the truth, because obviously if it is true they won't own up to it. But has anyone else heard the same things?

To even question that two top houses would form a secret alliance is the ridiculous! They do get along well and support each other as they do other Panhellenic groups. Anyone who watched Limelight would know that KD won hands down over any other group! They worked very hard to have a great routine and win! Suggesting that Limelight was fixed is also a slap in the face to the professors who served as judges for the event! Shame on whoever is trying to start such a rumor!!!

I am not trying to start that rumor, it has already been started. I'm just wondering what actually happened. I know that KD's Limelight was great, it was the best one, but if XO helped them with it at all like people are saying then there is a problem. I was just wondering what other people had heard. I friend of mine suggested today that they did it to keep DG from winning (which is still low, even if they do win lots of things), but obviously if it is fixed that keeps every other sorority out of the running too, which I do not find fair because we have worked so hard to break out and be contenders in contests. It's also not helping that KD's and XO's are commenting on each others homecoming groups and liking the pictures. It suggests that they both want only themselves and the other to win. I don't know if it is true, thats why I was asking. Also, why does it matter that "top" houses wouldn't do such a thing? I'm not "top" but I would never do something like this, thanks.

is NOT true. Y'all sure like drama! As the person said below, KD and Chi O have always been very close groups but would NEVER do what is being suggested. Period!!

It has more to do with keeping other groups from winning than it does anything else. KD & Chi O are tired of getting beat out at certain things, so they've formed an alliance now and it will last through homecoming elections. Wait & see. The proof will be in the results.

KD and Chi O are tired of losing?? Let's see: KD 2 homecoming maids in 2010; Chi O 1 homecoming maid and Miss MSU. 2009 Derby Days KD 1st place, Chi O 2nd. 2012 Detby Days Chi O 2nd, KD 3rd. Grades Chi O 1st, KD always 2nd or 3rd. Miss Mussissippi 2011 KD. Miss Mississippi 2010 and 2009 Chi O. You're right ... they lose a lot. Guess the rumor is true ... NOT!!!

It is pretty obvious that they are rooting for each other, hence the likes and comments for each others groups with Homecoming. That is SO LOW. I'm mad about it, they are blocking out any other (still qualified) girl from getting a fair chance. If the whole court ends up being KD and XO there will be a riot, not because the people they nominated aren't deserving, but because it will be clear they put themselves out there to only win it for each other!!

If they win it will be because they ran the best campaigns . Just like DG has done for the past few years! Good campaigns win!!
