KD is not strong nationally at all....third tier sorority at best.

No chapters at Baylor, Tulane, Emory, Georgia Tech, Oklahoma, TCU, SMU,West Virginia, Duke, William & Mary, Colorado, Purdue, Michigan, Iowa, Wisconsin, USC, Pepperdine, UC-Berkeley, Minnesota, Penn, UConn, Arizona, Syracuse,Iowa..... and NO chapters at all in many states and Canada....but chapters at non-academic, division 3 schools in the south that the top sororities won't consider having chapters..

Some of the strongest National sororities are not the largest at State. ADPi, Pi Beta Phi and ZTA are very strong on a National level.

The same statement could be made about Phi Mu. They are fairly strong in the South but not elsewhere.

Chi O, DG, and Tri Delt are all very strong on a National level too.

75% or more of the girls going through MSU recruitment are from Mississippi or Southern states. They know the sororities that are strong both here (MSU) and in their hometown/state. That's what they care about.

Not being rude but your post was pointless.

Why would you say ADPi zTA and pi phi are not strong at state? Rude beyond measure. Your post was socially unacceptable to call out those groups! So tired of the same people getting on here trying to convince who knows who that there are only 4 strong groups at msu.......there are 8.

I said "large" not "strong"!!!! I referred to size not anything else because all 8 chapters at MSU are strong! Geez!!!

If you reply to any question on this site, be prepared to "pull back a knub". There are some women that troll on this site and will accuse commenters of anything and everything with no proof. Just a friendly piece of advice.

I have never seen so many trolls on a website before. People are so darn rude. I bet it isn't even as dramatic as the make it. Some people just don't know how to act.

I'm not a big KD fan, but the OP clearly posted this to make a dig at KD. It's not very appropriate, and a little desperate.

KD is a top 4 at msu. Doesn't matter if a sorority isn't strong nationally. What matters is here in our state.

Actually it does matter to a whole lot of girls, especially those planning to leave Mississippi when they graduate. Alumni can be very helpful when finding jobs.

Networking after college would rarely be why a girl picked a particular sorority. DG, Chi O, ZTA, PiPhi, ADPi, and Tri Delt are considered strong on the National level. While KD and Phi Mu are not as strong on a national level, they are strong in the Southeast. If someone wanted to remain in the Southeastern U.S. any sorority here would have a strong alumni network available to them after graduation.

I'm a guy, and my sister is a KD. They're a large national sorority with a prominent network, particularly in the South. The difference between whether group X, Y or Z with 100+ chapters and 100,000+ alumnae/alumni gives you more connections is stupidly insignificant. Whether a group is in Canada or not might as well be irrelevant because it's such an insignificant fraction of any group that is. There are prominent alumnae/alumni in any large Greek organization, and whether you can get a job out of it or need one depends on you. DKE has like 50 chapters, and they can claim 6 US presidents.
