top msu honors over past 6 years

by:

There has been a lot of discussion over which if any sorority at MSU has been a longterm dominant sorority. My knowledge of MSU sororities began in the fall of 2008 when my sister was a freshman and continues as I am about to enter my senior year. In my opinion most Greeks would agree that there are 8 major elections/competitions each year - SA Officers, Homecoming Queen, Miss MSU (nominees are selected through an interview process and activities. The top 3 or 4 are voted on by the student body), Miss Mississippi State University (preliminary to the Miss Mississippi Pageant), Miss Maroon &White (Most Beautiful), Kappa Sigma Charity Bowl, Sigma Chi Derby Days, and Chi Omega Limelight (Yes, there are other competitions but these last 3 are the most talked about and the largest). The following is a breakdown of the past 6 years:

2008/09
SA Secretary - DG
Homecoming Queen - Phi Mu
Miss MSU - DG
Miss Mississippi State University - Chi O
Miss Maroon & White - Phi Mu
Charity Bowl - Chi O
Derby Days - sororities did not participate as a protest for change in the how the competition was conducted

2009/2010
SA Secretary - Chi O
Homecoming Queen - DG
Miss MSU - independent
Miss Mississippi State University - DG
Miss Maroon & White - KD
Charity Bowl - not held due to Kappa Sig being on probation
Derby Days - KD

Phi mu and kd are pretty equal.

by: Yep!

Everything else aside, when you look at everything on paper it really is:
Chi O/DG
KD/Phi Mu
DDD/Zeta
Pi Phi/ADPi

While the last few years on paper it looks like Phi Mu and KD are even, Phi Mu was nowhere close to this level of success before roughly 2008. KD has been doing that for decades, and Phi Mu for less than ONE decade.

For obvious reasons. When it's all on paper it's easy to see where things stand

You see that's where you're wrong. I was there from 04 to 08 and we had just as many if not more honors during that time period. Go look it up- homecoming queens, miss msu, derby day wins,..... So don't try to
Minimalize the strength of phi mu!

WHY are you on this site if you graduated 8 years ago?! You are 30 - that's desperate! Now we know Phi Mu alums are the ones singing their praises and probably also knocking others down.

Awwwww did someone hit a nerve? Who cares who is on this site ? There are people from all groups and all ages......otherwise there wouldn't be a site, right? Lol!!!! You're only mad because she said a positive thing about a sorority you apparently have a problem with.
