Rushing at State
by: StateAt this school it doesn’t matter what your gpa is or what you did in school. If you aren’t connected you are ignored. In other words- if you don’t know people don’t do this. It’s not like bigger schools where they actually look at resume and try to find best girls for a house. They will take people they already want and know period. Bid list is made before Rush happens.

What you mean is that you didn't get picked for a 'top' sorority that you felt entitled to because you're so 'top' and the other chapters that actually wanted you were beneath you. You have failed to grasp that the vast majority of pnm's have top grades and resumes and this is an entirely different peer group for you than where you came from in high school. You also don't get that recruitment isn't a sign up sheet, sororities choose their members and do it however they want. They are social organizations so of course they choose girls they already know from their high schools and hometowns over girls they know nothing about. Every sorority chapter at every school does the same. Welcome to the real world where things don't always go your way. Good for you for having a great gpa and resume, you will do just fine in college if you keep that up so go out and achieve something.
