What if I can't get recs for some soriorties or can only get 1? How bad does it look and does that keep me from gettingg in that soriorty completely

Chapters can't pledge you without a rec. You'll get cut if you don't have one. Having 1 is is just meh. It will get you into some houses, but not others. Chapters would rather pledge a girl with 2 or 3 glowing recs than someone who could only get 1.

Get in touch with your local Alumnae Panhellenic Association. They should be able to help you get recommendations.

I don't mean to sound dumb, but I can't seem to find any information on my local Alumnae Panhellenic Association. Is there a national directory for that? I'm guessing this is a group that represents all the different sororities and not just one. I hope I'm not the only person that has questions about this.

Unfortunately local Panhellenic alumni groups only exist in larger cities. If you live in a small town I would suggest asking your parents' friends, ladies in your church or past teachers. Even if they themselves were not in a sorority, chances are they can tell you other women who were. Hope this helps!
