I'm an African American girl who would really love to rush a panhellenic sorority. Do you think I should? I heard the sororities at state aren't really diverse and I'm worried I won't get a bid because of my race.

If I am not mistaken there are at least 2 sororities at MSU with an African American member.

currently 2 sororities with African American members, and at least 1 with biracial members. There are also several girls with Indian, Spanish, or other nationality descents. MSU has been accepting quality members regardless of race for years, and with all of the media attention it's getting these days, this year should be no exception. If you have good grades, involvement, a clean rep, and recs, you shouldn't worry about not finding a home here!
