Ole Miss has 300 to 400 more girls going through recruitment than MSU, therefore they have a general pledge class size of 120 while MSU's general size is 85. (General numbers). Ole Miss has 10 sororities and will be adding a new one in 2014 or 2015 while MSU has 8 and will be adding a 9th next year. Although a larger percentage of Ole Miss students are Greek, Greeks at both schools dominate campus organizations and are generally the strongest leaders on campus. Recruitment is very selective at both schools.

Ole Miss sororities: Chi Omega, Delta Delta Delta, Kappa Delta, Delta Gamma, Phi Mu, Kappa Kappa Gamma, Alpha Omicron Pi, Pi Beta Phi, Kappa Alpha Theta, Alpha Delta Pi (recolonized in 2013). Alpha Phi will be the next group.

MSU sororities: Chi Omega, Zeta Tau Alpha, Phi Mu, Kappa Delta, Delta Gamma, Delta Delta Delta, Pi Beta Phi (2008), Alpha Delta Pi (2012). Kappa Kappa Gamma will come on campus in January 2015.
