NOT VARIABLE QUOTA
by: truthEvery sorority had the same Quota. Each one took different numbers because of Quota Additions. THIS IS NOT VARIABLE QUOTA, WHICH IS SOMETHING ENTIRELY DIFFERENT. Quota Additions ensure that no pnm who ranks both houses is without a bid, even when it puts a house over quota. Stronger recruiting houses must make more cuts and end up with fewer pnm's at pref, thus having a shorter bid list and taking fewer quota additions. Houses who can cut less have larger groups returning at pref and end up with a longer bid list, and therefore match to quota with more pnm's below the quota line and so they take more quota additions. This is why some houses have larger classes than others, and it's all the result of RFM. Happens every year. Has nothing to do with 'tiers'. It's not Variable Quota.
