KD - Took maybe 2 far oos girls this year. They were great girls but KD definitely made a mistake in passing up on some others. Normally they are into top grades, really athletic, attractive girls but they dropped a top 10 national athlete, an olympic qualifier, and several top state athlete girls who are not only gorgeous but also with a high gpa. So go figure that one out! Top one hurt most

DG - Did solid this year. They knew who they wanted and I think got better overall oos and a couple oor girls who push them over KD this recruitment year. Problem with them is that they are mean girls to the ones they don't like. I think they did solid this year and definitely holding their top 3 spot.

XO - ALWAYS recruits well. Matched awesome girls up with every pnm by looking at activities and involvement. That said, their bid list was a done deal by mid summer and they took 90% MS girls. Even though they are ALL great top girls I would PLEASE like to see some diversity. Whether that is in the form of where a pnm lives or their background.

PM - I feel like they had their hands tied because of sooooo many hs friends they pulled in this year. Their pledge class was really split in two, with one half gorgeous girls and the other half at the other end of the spectrum. I had high hopes for them but again, I think the small town hs friend factor hurt them. This house is full of fun girls and they did a great job of pulling more in. Great overall job!

ZTA - Pulled in a ton of far out of state girls. Pretty, social, and like to party. Absolutely nothing wrong with that! Especially because they seemed to attract a lot of them with good grades too. Good job ZTA

ADII - Overall impressed the most with their pledge class. I saw a ton of gorgeous oos and far oos girls. During a normal year, a few of the blondes would have been PM. I think the addition of AXO helped them the most. Still had a few meh girls though. Loved their focus on "girl next door" type.

DDD - Cute sweet girls ran home this year. But too many with meh gpa's. I think this house was hurt the most by AXO addition because they were hoping to scoop up ones passed by XO, DG, KD but instead got a mix of girls and very few solid far oos. Overall, a solid recruitment class but did end up being weaker than the other mid tier houses.

PBP - Variable quota helped and hurt them. With more girls being cut early on by lots of houses PBP got to see back more girls than usual. Girls either loved them or hated them during the week. They were able to bring in some great girls and a few others who didn't SIP who ended up dropping. That's ok though because I think they ended up stronger with the ones remaining. Good job PBP.

AXO - TONS of girls I talked to said their AXO match up was so nice and they really wanted to love AXO but were hesitant to commit because not having a house was a big turn off. It will be worth the wait for those who joined. 2024 = game changer for AXO. Keep going and growing ladies!

All groups got great girls with some questionable ones - depends on what the priority was for that sorority. I hate that we question or say some sororities got amazing classes and that others got bad classes when in reality, we should stop tearing each down to make ourselves look better. They are all great girls -

So as a Greek woman here from OOS,I find it refreshing that the mid tiers recognized that the Jackson girls are not worth fighting for as there are good, quality girls from other areas. What is funny is that people think bc DDD did not go for Jackson girls, they slipped.

I think there is no way that you know girls gpas and service experiences; I think there are multiple sororities on the row that give their philanthropy lip service at best and DDD is not one of them. So, I still stand by the fact that they did it a little differently as the reason that a few people think they slipped bc the thought that maybe Jackson is not necessarily where it is at scares the old school MS sorority mommas. State is a nationally recognized university that is attracting and recruiting highly qualified students from other states bc MS is ranked so poorly educationally.

Just a reminder that this is what was posted after recruitment last year. The “rankings” are so subjective and change from woman to woman. Go where you want to be today. Because everyone changes opinions like every 2 days. Today is about you!
