Top sororities dropping OOR
by: loserDid anyone notice that KG, KA, Chi O dropped basically all the out of state recruits like they didn’t give anyone a chance. I know so many girls that were out of state that didn’t get a call back. Do better
#4by: Exactly - Do better
Yes, the top sororities need to recognize they are missing out on some great finds and to look beyond the known. I think that is why the tiers are really not a factor any longer if you look at grades, involvement, etc. Now, does KD win Sigma Chi Derby Days with a KD judge? Absolutely - and that list will continue to go on and on...
However, ZTA, DDD, ADPi will continue to grab quality OOR PNMs that will continue to make their chapters better. Look at ZTA and DDD's philanthropies and how driven they are to serve. SO, let them continue with 13th grade and building legacy chapters. The so-called mid-tiers will become even stronger.
#5by: It's okay
So what are sororities supposed to do, drop the girls they know and like and want, with whom they have personal connections, in favor of someone else for the sake of geographical diversity? That hardly makes sense. This is not a scholarship award or a research grant, and it's certainly not a sign up sheet. Good for you that you have good grades and a great resume. You are amazing. You are used to being successful in high school. But these are social clubs for women that choose their members as they see fit. You have to be invited and if you're not it doesn't mean you aren't an accomplished person or that anyone thinks you're less than. Are you less than? No, no you are not. Get a little perspective.
