Will variable quota be used this fall due to Alpha Chi and how does variable quota work?

No, it is not necessary. That's only a relatively extreme measure when there are a handful of houses needing a membership boost that just can't catch up year after year. It is not the usual thing to do when a new house comes on. State did use it for a few years 5 or 6 years ago and relative equity was achieved among all house memberships and all sororities are going strong now. The new sorority has already made a great start with their founding class.

Yes I heard. Alpha Phi and Zeta have greatest drop in pnm once the year begins.
