Spring Rush.

There is a mother in my hometown that keeps telling everyone her daughter will receive a spring bid to DG. She doesn’t want her going through formal rush because it’s so scary. If DG is at chapter total, as it usually is, can they still give a legacy girl a bid in the spring?

DG and XO nationals only allow them to participate in formal recruitment once a year, so they will never do spring rush, even if they arent at total

That’s not true. DG and Chi O both participate in spring rush at other schools. Honestly those chapters here are never under total so they never can spring rush, even if there were girls they like and would take. They’re normally the top 2, definitely top 3, largest groups. They won’t spring rush though and that girl needs to go through fall if she wants to join any sorority. And also be prepared that DG doesn’t recognize legacies anymore.

DG does 'recognize' legacies still, but they are no longer extended any preferential treatment in getting a bid. A legacy is just another pnm who has to stand on her own merits. IDK what that mom is possibly thinking though, poor daughter.
