Joining a sorority as a senior…

by:

I’ve always wanted to join a sorority but I have been a little scared to join one. I feel now that I’m ready but I fear it might be too late. Would me being a senior hinder my chances of getting into a sorority?

Yes, because you would initiate and then graduate the next semester and not really be around long enough to add much to the chapter. Also you would have a hard time bonding with your new member class because you are in a completely different place than freshmen, or even sophomores and juniors. You need to start thinking what is ahead of you after college, and consider your career placement options or graduate school. The only thing that would help you would be if you know enough actives in a chapter who love you to the extent they would support you for a bid. IDK how competitive AXO will be this year, but they might give you a shot.
