AXO coming to ole miss

When a new sorority colonizes on a campus, alumnae do the organizing and rushing. They participate only in the first round of rush as an introduction to generate interest and explain the process and answer questions. Then they 'drop out' of formal recruitment week and start holding events and interviews after bid day. A founding class is formed, initiated, and leadership roles are determined. Then the colony takes its place as a chapter. They will fully participate in recruitment the next year. Sometimes panhellenic will eliminate COB for the other chapters and/or adjust house total at first to give the colony a boost. A starting colony is always interested in upperclassmen, especially those with leadership potential, so it can be a great opportunity for transfers and great girls who didn't rush or find their home during formal rush.
