are there limits with srats

Do any of the sororities either locally or nationally put limits on the number of bids that can be given out to far out of state pnms?
I have noticed that most go to 1 of 3 sororities, even with great recs/grades/ECs.

There are no official caps in any sorority, even the ones that end up with few out of region members. Those sororities have so many hometown girls that their members want and legacies (whether that sorority has an official legacy policy from nationals or not the SEC chapters will always weigh legacies heavily) that it’s really hard to cut those girls with lots of in house support in favor for a girl no one knows, even if her resume and convos are amazing. That’s why only a handful make it every year. And to be clear, this is often a huge benefit to the chapters the OOR girls join, and very MS based chapters miss girls every year because of this. But their members tend to stay in MS or the Deep South, so that’s why they do it.

this is why some of the sororities are considered top tier. chi o kd and dg have so many in state, they supposedly will get some of the best from the state. and typically have a number they don’t want to go over with out of state. so the “lower tier” sororities typically have less mississippi and more out of state. which makes lower tier like tri delt zta and pi phi more interesting because they get great out of state girls. it’s a huge gap between “top tiers” amount of in state vs “low tiers” amount of in state
