It’s really a funny game

by:

it’s really funny how many girls get ADPi then drop before being initiated so they can join another sorority. typically get an open bid or do spring rush. what’s it like wearing different letters like that? Must be weird

This is so not true. ADPi could not give out bids in the Fall because they are at Panhellenic total and were not allowed to give out bids
when other sororities could give out bids. That means their retention is very high. Why are you so jealous of ADPi? I’m in the Greek community in leadership and tired of the lies about ADPi and other sororities , as well. Just stop. You look ignorant.

doesn’t say adpi gave bids out. and sorry but no one is jealous of ADPi

Once you accept a bid from a sorority and drop , you can not accept another bid from another sorority. You can go through in the fall, though.

this isn’t true. if you don’t get initiated you can join another sorority. 2 girls in my chapter went adpi dropped before being initiated and got an open bid or did spring

You literally cannot do this. Not until the next fall at least - either you’re lying or the girls in your chapter are.

And generally, for a variety of sensible reasons, if girls accepted a bid on Bid Day, the other houses that they didn’t select or that didn’t select them aren’t scrambling to snap up free-agent girls once they’ve abandoned their original house.

There is straight up a junior in my chapter that got ADPi spring recruitment 2020 and went through the open bid process to join September 2020 and is in my house. So it clearly is possible.

That straight up junior didn't sign the MRABA to get a spring bid, therefore she was not bound by the one year rule.

You’re proving my point hunny. i’m not saying anyone can drop and join another one but there’s definitely people that find the loop hole and drop because they don’t like it and join another ;)

adpi is so defensive because they have something to defend, being literally bottom before axo but thinking they are middle tier it’s the funniest thing

I dropped out of rush two years ago. I accepted a bid from pi phi. I went to a few events with pi phi but dropped the bid. I went back through the next fall and pledged KD. So other sororities have this happen

By: Well well well

thank you queen. i’m not in either of these chapters but it’s happened in mine also

Yes, you have to wait until Fall and you did. That’s what the OP doesn’t seem to understand.

Snap and COB don't require the MRABA, therefore there is not a one year binding wait.

Yeah, we know sometimes girls drop and take another bid but the original post states "drop before being initiated so they can join another sorority. typically get an open bid or do spring rush". Doesn't happen this way because of MRABA. Every actual sorority member at any school knows that. Try to keep up.

This one girl in my chapter accepted bids to 12 sororities at State, founded 3 new ones and accepted bids there too, dropped ADPi, got initiated into the other 20 she joined, then rode down Greek Row on her pet unicorn to celebrate! She literally holds every Panhellenic office! She’s interning with Santa Claus at the North Pole this semester, and she joined 5 sororities there! Straight up y’all!

We just had an event with ADPi. Great girls.
I just looked up how many ADPi initiated in the fall . It was 109. I know they had 113 accept bids on bid day. That’s great retention if the information that I found is accurate. And those four probably left MSU or couldn’t afford it. My sorority always loses a few to going home or finances. Just out of curiosity ,how many did ZTA and Pi Phi initiate in the fall ? Pi Phi is the newest on campus before ADPi. ZTA has been on campus a long time. Alpha Chi is the newest and seems to be doing very well.

Bashing houses is undeniably dumb and shows insecurity or just some weird form of mean girl syndrome where you enjoy making fun of things that are very meaningful to people you don’t even know.
Also, I’m guessing this person is a freshman bc the misunderstanding of the intricacies surrounding bids/changing houses etc makes sense for someone who’s never been through rush as an active. There are so many different rules for different scenarios and I don’t think they fully get how it works.
Either way— making fun of the place a few hundred women call home is just petty and mean spirited and makes all of Greek life look bad. Women support women and you just seem bitter, unfriendly, and gratuitously mean.
Do better, sis.

sororities here do not follow the rules like you think they do they’re just good at covering it up.

all jokes aside take it up with Kearstin. She accepted Adpi and is now in a different sorority. since no one believes sororities break rules i’ll name drop

By: Yep
by: ^

Doesn't mean there was any rule breaking. I know, I know, it's way too hard when actual facts contradict the story that someone wants so bad to be true. Not nearly as satisfying is it?

If it all started in the fall, then she likely accepted a snap bid, then dropped, then either went through COB or spring rush. That is the only way someone who went through formal recruitment in the fall could accept a bid in the fall, drop, then be initiated into a different sorority.
I am glad it worked out for her but to all the pnms reading these posts.... please understand that it is very rare and the majority of girls (95% or more) join the sorority they originally accept a bid from.
