The truth about rush

I feel like this needs to be said every year, so here it goes. Rush is hard. For most, rush will break you, make you cry, disappoint you, and bring out insecurities you didn’t know you had. You are being judged by your looks, involvement, reputation, and personality to determine where you fit. And sometimes that is not with a “top tier” house.

The thing you have to realize is that the groups on your schedule everyday are the houses that WANT YOU. It’s the girls who want to get to know you better and see how you fit into their sisterhood. It’s sometimes hard to realize that you won’t be in your sisters house, your best friends house, etc. It happened to me and it was so so heartbreaking. Every house has great things to offer, and everything happens for a reason. You can’t think you are better than a certain house, because apparently you are not. Make the most of it; get involved and see how you can lead and make a difference.
